First off... I think this projector does a really good job at what its designed to do... and that is to project images onto a screen at a high resolution. And this projector does that.

I use this projector perfectly with my Google Chromecast dongle. It takes about 30 seconds to get setup, and I am watching Netflix on a wall in my house at about 100 inches. All you need to do is to adjust the focus, and adjust the viewing angle. Both very easy to do.

There is also a very comprehensive menu system in this LED projector, so you can tweak settings as needed to get a picture you want.

This projector has a output of 1000 Lumens. This is just fine for a home environment with the lights off in the room. Which is how I tend to watch movies anyway. So again, no issues with this box.

There are multiple input sources for you to get your video on the screen. Again, I easily use a Chromecast dongle. Sound on this projector is OK, and you can add a external speaker if desired.

The remote control is great, and is very responsive. It makes setting up the menus much easier.

All in all a really good product for under a $100 bucks!

1) ECONOMY/VALUE Projector, NATIVE Res 800x480, Best for Casual Home Use, HDMI/Composite, USB/SD Video/Still Media Supported - The FastFox HD 1080P Mini LED Home projector is suitable for home use in darkened rooms. It is at the very low price end it does a fine job in the home economy projector category with a few concerns.

It's about 2 and a quarter pounds in weight. 7.9in.X6.0inX2.65in with a fixed focal length lens. The 800 lumen output is comparable to the output of a 60W incandescent bulb. Good enough for a fairly darkened room. The projectors contrast ration is 800:1 which isn't bad. It has a fixed focal length lens.

A down side of this projector is having the letters UNIC are displayed in the upper right corner all the time. I have not found a way to turn this off. UNIC is the Chinese manufacturer and their model number is the UC40.

It is NOT comparable to higher end projectors like the ViewSonic PJD7820HD 1080p or Optoma HD141X 3D 1080p Home Projector which put out 4+ times the brightness and have higher end features and cost 5 to 6 times as much!

I mainly use mine to project Amazon Prime video from my Fire TV HD 8.9 tablet. I use a hdmi cable to feed the video and audio to the projector and the headphone jack to feed it from the projector to an amplifier with nice speakers. For this purpose it works pretty well.

I've also used it with a Logitec Conference Cam Connect though it was a struggle to balance light levels to projecting the conference while still allowing for enough light for the camera in the Conference Cam Connect. The FastFox projector isn't bright enough to be good for this type of application.

The projector has HDMI and Composite (via an adapter cable) signal inputs. There is a headphone output and a tiny and the tiny internal speaker surprisingly good for what it is, but you probably want to use external audio if possible. I do.

The projector accepts a broad range of inputs via hdmi including: 800x600; 1024x768,1280x800,1920x1080. HOWEVER: the native resolution of the projector is 800x480 so higher resolutions are down-scaled (and pretty well!) to that resolution with aspect retention. This is why text that might have been clear on your 1080p HD TV is very fuzzy when projected with the FastFox. NOTE: Don't expect 1080p output from this projector. Motion video still looks very nice, but another concession to affordability.

Keystone correction is important for projectors to correct the distortion in the shape of the projected image that happens when the projector is aimed up (or down) relative to the screen. The FastFoxcan correct keystone up to 10 degrees when aimed upward toward a screen and 15 degrees when mounted high and projecting down. That's not a whole lot of correction - just a gentle upward or downward angle. This is consistent with its low price point.

A nice feature of the FastFox projector is the SD card and USB compatibility. I've used these to project still images. It worked well for this purpose. The supported formats for video and images include:

The remote is much more comprehensive than the controls on the base unit. The IR receiver is sensibly on the back of the unit. The remote is better than the on-unit controls.

The FastFox HD 1080P Portable Mini Home LED Projector is a good choice if will project in darkened rooms, the projector is aimed within 10 degrees of horizontal, and you are on a budget. If your source can direct the audio other than through the HDMI cable (like to a home theater), even better.

Because the FastFox projector clearly aims at the home value/entry video projector marketplace and provides good features/value at its price point I'm giving it 4 stars. It gives good "bang for the buck".

1) Great Product for projecting movies on Travel Trailer while camping - This is a great little projector which works perfect for our applications. Item was purchased to project movies for the kiddos on the side of my travel trailer during camping excursions, and we all collectively could not be happier with the overall item. The projector came exactly as pictured/described and I had it up and running (streaming from Roku thru the HDMI port) in under 5 minutes. Directions, as with most of these type items are really useless, but if you have any bit of tech knowledge (i.e hook up a flat screen tv to cable receiver box, etc) it will be a non-issue. The picture quality for the movies is actually pretty good (you will not get clear HD quality) and the sound output on the projector worked great too ( I actually was able to project a clear movie image of over 60-inches with no problems). I can see where other viewers did not like this type of projector for actual computer presentations (as wording does get distorted quite a bit) but I wasn't concerned with this, as this was not the true intention of the purchase, and if looking for high-quality, you are going to need to spend 3x's more on a projector specifically set-up to handle such applications.

1) An excellent all in one projector - I was hesitant to buy this projector, as there are not many reviews out yet, but its predecessor, the moviemate 72 had wonderful reviews so I gave it a shot. I am very glad I did, this projector does everything I want it to. It will play DVD's in pretty much any format (including AVI), projects well onto my apartment wall, and the built in speakers are decent, though obviously not spectacular.

The only caveat I have is that there is no lens shift built in, which means the projector needs to be pointing straight at the surface it is projecting on. It does allow you to adjust keystone, which means if you are projecting up or down, it maintains a rectangular image, and has a manual focus and zoom. It is not well suited for use as a home theater projector, as it only has 1 hdmi input, 1 component input, and a VGA input, but I suppose if you are building a home theater you will likely have a stereo receiver regardless, which can handle the cable switching needs.

I am very impressed with the brightness, when on full I can use it during the day(with the blinds closed, though some light does come in), and at night it is easy to shift it to "eco" mode, which is supposed to save bulb life. The main benefit I see or actually hear, is the decrease in fan noise. On high brightness, the noise can be a little distracting, but it is by no means overpowering, and with lower brightness it is hard to hear at all.

The projector is very portable, coming with a built in handle and a carry case, I have already brought it over to a few friends houses with ease.

I should mention, this is the only projector I have ever owned, so my opinion should not be given too much weight.

1) Bright HD Projector For Man Cave - Over the past 10 years, this is the third and best projector I have installed in my basement recreation room.
Previous projectors included an XGA LCD projector displaying on a 92" diameter, fixed frame, 16:9, zero gain screen. I did have black bars top and bottom that became annoying so I updated the projector to a DLP model with an anamorphic lens. The second projector was great - much better ANSI contrast and more realistic color display than the LCD model. Over seven years, brightness faded and I decided to buy a new projector instead of purchasing a replacement lamp for $450(!).

I was torn between the Optoma HD25 and HD25-LV knowing that with higher brightness color fidelity would suffer a bit. In my recreation room I often leave reading lights on in the seating area (away from the screen) and full lights on in the back room, so the higher brightness projector made sense. Also, if I ever decide to view 3D videos or play 3D games a brighter projector helps to offset brightness lost when wearing 3D shutter glasses.

I am totally thrilled with the purchase. Contrast, color and brightness are HUGE improvements compared to my last projector.

With lights off - image is too bright, but there is a setting that allows brightness to be dimmed

Set up would have been easier with vertical and horizontal lens shift - I know this would add great expense to the projector so I opted to save $$$.

So far, so good. I highly recommend the HD25-LV.

1) ... new projector very long but so far it is great. I bought it to replace my previous projector ... - I haven't had my new projector very long but so far it is great. I bought it to replace my previous projector which had the bulb expire. I had it for around 10 years and it was a 3000 hr bulb. This one is a 10,000 hr so would imagine it would last 3 times as long. We shall see. The picture is much clearer and brighter I had a 800x600 resolution so this is a step us for me. The great thing too is that I paid almost half as much. It has all the connections anyone would need to watch all kinds of video. I hooked up my DVD player, my laptop and blue ray and they all look amazing. Also when I connected my blue ray player I pluged my Bose system into the RCA audio out on the side of the projector and was amazed it was in stereo. My last projector only had a mono audio connection.

A couple of things to inform others about is that the video connections are on the side of the unit, probably for ease of use in the business or class room situation. My other unit had the connections on the back, my preference because of the installation I have. but really not a big issue. Another thing I noticed is it seems that the zoom doesn't zoom very much so that means to have to locate the projector at a distance from the screen to get the size you want. This is true with all projectors but it seems that my previous one had a better zoom. These are really my personal preferences and does not take away from the great performance of this projector.

I would recommend this projector for anyone who is looking for an inexpensive and good quality projector. I am sure that if money is not an issue you can find better quality projectors but I am completely happy with mine.

1) I love this projector - I love this projector!!!!! I only gave it 4 stars because it has a little rainbow effect and the speakers are very very low I don't use them anyway, but other than that its awesome. It has great picture and,colors just an amazing piece of hardware. The specs are some of the best I've seen for being a lower budget projector. I wanted to get a 2nd projector an ended up looking for something a little better then the Benq. So I started doing more research an found out about LED longer lasting lamps. So I invested in that by getting the LG PA75U OMG I packed it right back up the same day I received it. Don't get me wrong it's an ok projector but does not compare. It's no where near as bright the colors are amazing I must say, but the BenQ is definitely running laps around it in superb clarity and brightness. I have the BenQ 10 feet away from a 100inch VonHaus manual pulldown screen which is just making the BenQ that much more amazing,and it's about 85inchs maybe a little more. This is the best projector I have received so far and I've been buying a different projector every week for a month and a half and the BenQ out did every last one of them all the others were sent back or sold for a little less then what I paid for them but it was definitely well worth it. I would leave screenshots if I could. I love this projector so much I will be getting a 2nd one. Here are a few of the projectors I sent back or sold VVME V61, LG PA75U, and a RD-806 they have a bunch of different models for the RD-806.
